Meet Misfit – A Gentle Boy Finding His Place
Misfit may have an unusual name, but this shy and sweet boy is simply looking for a place where he can feel comfortable and safe. After experiencing so many changes, Misfit is currently in foster care where he is learning how to adjust to a new home and settle into a routine. New environments can feel overwhelming for him, so he needs some extra time and patience to decompress. Once he starts to relax, Misfit reveals his gentle side and enjoys snuggling with his favorite people, soaking up pets, and quietly sharing his space with those he trusts.
Misfit will do best with a calm, patient family who can give him the time he needs to build confidence. Cozy hiding spots, soft beds, tall cat trees, and high perches will give him comfortable places to retreat and observe his surroundings. He may enjoy living with another cat after a very slow introduction and could potentially live with a respectful, cat-savvy dog who understands boundaries. A predictable routine, patience, and plenty of gentle encouragement will help Misfit continue to adjust and show his sweet personality.
