Meet Ring!

This handsome boy is looking for a place to call home after searching for so long! Ring came to us from our transport partner in Virginia, after searching the south for his home for almost one whole year, he decided it may be best to check up north. Ring has meant some really awesome people being up here, and is such a special boy. He has not given up his search quite yet. Ring will need a strong handler, someone or a family who can keep him on a good routine, and help him fall back into the home life setting. You wouldn't believe the brain this boy has between the ears, Ring knows basic commands like Sit, down, paw and recently has figured out roll over is pretty fun too. Ring walks well on leash, and takes treat gently.

Rings family will need to understand that being on a strict routine is important, and using positive reinforcement to reward really good, calm behaviors. We have noticed here that when playing, or running around in a yard he can get very overstimulated and it's almost as if he struggles to find that off switch, and will become mouthy and jumpy when playing. Ring can be and is very happy to be redirected with treats, and is so so eager to learn and make his handler happy that he can most definitely succeed in his forever home.

Ring would benefit from an active home, tagging along for any and all adventures. Ring LOVES other dogs, and we would like to do a meet and greet prior to him going home with his future dog siblings. We believe a home with no feline friends would be best. Ring would need to meet any kid siblings prior to going home, and we believe that children 13+ would be best suited, especially while Ring is still gaining knowledge and learning how to control his energy.
