At the GAHS, we are fortunate to have an amazing community of volunteers and fosters who give their time, energy, and compassion to help animals both here at the shelter, in their homes, and out in our community.
Whether they’re rolling up their sleeves to clean, stuffing envelopes behind the scenes, chatting with potential adopters at events, or opening their homes to pets who need a soft place to land – every single act makes a difference. Because of them, animals get second chances, extra love, and brighter futures.
We had a wonderful time celebrating these rockstars at our Annual Volunteer & Foster Appreciation Party on Sunday, April 19th, kicking off a very special week dedicated to recognizing all they do.
