Pet Wellness Clinic
August 14 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
UPDATE: Due to the heat, please stay home if you don’t have reliable a/c in your car, or your pets are at higher risk from the heat. Contact us at email@example.com and we will schedule you for another day to come in to the shelter for vaccines. Our next clinics are 9/11 and 10/2 in Kennedy Park in Lewiston.
Times are tough these days. We understand many of our community members are experiencing financial hardship and need some help to keep their pets happy and healthy. Join us for a drive-up vaccine and microchip clinic at the shelter in Lewiston on Saturday, August 14th.
We will be offering free basic vaccines, including rabies, for both dogs and cats. Please have a leash and collar on all dogs and all cats in carriers. This is a drive-thru clinic and you will remain in your vehicles until it is your pet’s turn for services. Please note that due to veterinary capacity, we have to limit these clinics to the first 40 vehicles. You will receive a number as you arrive. Microchips are also available for $20. Donations are greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of vaccines and make these clinics possible!
These services are provided to citizens of our service area and contracted towns ( Auburn, Canton, Greene, Hebron, Leeds, Lewiston, Livermore, Minot, New Gloucester, Turner, and Wales).
Where to meet: Hanel Bros Parking Lot across the street from the Animal Emergency Clinic on Strawberry Avenue. Watch for our GAHS tent and signage. A GAHS representative will check you in with a form for selecting vaccinations, assign you a number and direct you through the process. Be prepared for a wait. We attempt to move you through the process as quickly as possible, but animals are involved and sometimes take more time to handle than expected. We appreciate your patience.
For those on foot or being dropped off: same location and assigned numbers will be given. We ask that those without transportation practice social distancing in the lot and during the process. Keep your pets safe by staying away from cars.
Can’t get to the shelter or worried you cannot have your animals go through the clinic safely? We can provide other service options, so please call us at 783-2311 to discuss. Please note that we will not be handing out spay/neuter vouchers this year. If your pet needs a spay or neuter surgery, please call 783-2311 to learn about the current options.
