Guinea Pig Adoption Pop-Up @ Petco
August 9, 2025 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
It’s not just cats and dogs looking for homes this month – our adorable guinea pig and rabbit friends are ready to find their new families, too! 💛
In addition to the shelter being OPEN – staff and volunteers will be heading over to Petco with some completely adorable guinea pigs ready for adoption! We have several chirpy adult females and a few shy juvenile males hoping to make their match.
Why choose a guinea pig?
🎵 Heart-melting sounds – From cheerful “wheeks” to happy little purrs, they’ll make you smile every day.
🎭 Tiny but mighty personalities – Each piggy has their own quirks, favorite snacks, and preferred snuggle styles.
📺 Daily entertainment – Watching them popcorn, explore tunnels, or nibble hay is better than TV.
💗 Bonding moments – Hand-feeding veggies and creating fun enrichment setups makes for sweet quality time.
Adoptions will be processed onsite. Additionally, we have a few rabbits looking for their new homes, too, but they prefer to meet potential adopters here at the shelter.
