Do you love animals? Have a bit of spare time and talents? We’d love to have you join our growing Volunteer Program! Volunteers help us in all kinds of ways, from direct animal care, cleaning and enrichment, to events, data-entry, marketing, photography, customer service, craft-making and so much more.

Please watch this brief overview video of the shelter and our Volunteer Program. Then, fill out the following form (use the code you see in the video) and our Volunteer Coordinator, Sandy, will email you directly (watch for an email from volunteer@gahumane.org in your inbox) to schedule an orientation. If you have questions about whether volunteering at GAHS will be a good fit for you, please email volunteer@gahumane.org.

Volunteers over the age of 18 will be required to pay a $25.00 background check fee. This is to ensure the safety of all animals, volunteers and staff. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age to apply.
