Lost Pets

We are sorry that you have lost your treasured companion.   The GAHS takes in stray dogs and cats brought to us by citizens, police officers or animal control officers from the municipalities of Auburn, Canton, Greene, Hebron (cats only), Leeds, Lewiston, Livermore, Minot, New Gloucester, Turner, Rumford, and Wales.

    Below are the stray dogs and cats we are currently housing.  Please note that Maine law requires us to hold stray dogs for 6 days and stray cats for 48 hours only.  Please note that pets staying in our care will receive vaccinations and basic wellness care to ensure they do not become sick, and there will be a daily charge for the safe-keeping, care and feeding of the animal.

    You can also submit a photo and profile of your lost pet to Petco Love Lost. They use a facial recognition software to match lost and found pets!
