Meet Lillie – A Loving Girl Ready for a Fresh Start!
Lillie originally came to us through a transfer partner in 2019 and went on to spend years in the same loving home. Unfortunately, changes in her family's life and finances meant they could no longer maintain her care, and Lillie found herself back with us looking for her next chapter. She has lived with kids and dogs and loved them, making her a sweet companion who enjoys having a family of her own. We don't believe she has experience living with cats. Lillie can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her loving personality shines through. She spent most of her outdoor time enjoying a yard and isn't the biggest fan of walking on a leash, so she'll appreciate a family who can help her feel comfortable with new adventures.
During the changes and stress in her previous home, Lillie did experience some inappropriate urination. We have not observed this behavior while she has been at the shelter, but adopters should be aware of her history and be prepared to monitor her as she settles into a new environment. Lillie may require multiple meet-and-greets to build a relationship and feel comfortable with her potential family. Patience, consistency, and a little time will go a long way with this sweet girl.
