Meet Milo – Your Energetic, Talkative Adventure Buddy!

Milo is an energetic dog who is ready to find a family that can match his zest for life. After being adopted, Milo was returned a few months later because his enthusiasm and care needs became more than his family could manage. Since his return, we've learned that Milo struggles with some resource guarding, so he'll need a family prepared to provide thoughtful, consistent management. Milo is a strong dog who could use some help with his leash manners, too. He's vocal, loves attention, and will happily roll over for belly rubs any chance he gets. He has lived with dogs and cats and has met children, though he hasn't lived with them and can be a bit of a jumper when excited. Milo will need to meet any resident dogs and children to help ensure a good fit.

Milo would thrive with an active family ready to provide exercise, engagement, and positive outlets for his energy, along with the extra management his resource guarding requires. He is currently on a diet and exercise plan to help him lose the weight he gained over the past few months. Consistency, guidance, and appropriate enrichment will help him work toward a healthy weight and channel his enthusiasm. A family that enjoys outdoor activities and includes their dog in daily life could be a great match for Milo. With a plan that supports his needs, Milo is ready to bring plenty of personality, affection, and adventure to his next home!
